Alter Ego is, according to us, the best of the (pre-mixed)human pheromones perfumes available at Love-Scent. While there are many more perfumes available there, this got the most hits from our group. It was brought to us by one of our group members, and comes as a very highly recommended pheromone perfume. It scored extremely well. 12 of my 14 male colleages on the review board gave the scent a perfect review (remember, female pheromones are less strong than males' equivalents - this is true with all mammals. Because of this, men are far more picky about how women "smell" to them. For a female perfume, 12 out of 14 is nothing short of awesome). Between Alter Ego and Primal Instinct, however, the line was not clear. Primal Instinct(below) got our guys a little more excited for something like sex, whereas Alter Ego helped them relax and just feel "comfortable", overall.

We ordered Alter Ego human pheromones from Love Scent. Love Scent offers quality human pheromones at good prices, and if you require human proof that pheromones work, check out their testimonials section, on the left side of the site. The enormous page that you see there are real testimonials from real people. If you want a man to be obsessed with you, and you're sick of how the guys you attach yourself to go for stupid girls, get some of this stuff.

Love Scent puts their customers over everything else, and it shows. A member of our team, Daniel, has had a lot of good experience with Love-Scent's owner, Bruce. Love-Scent now has a bustling community of users, and a ton of useful information on the topic of pheromones. Full points for service and speed, as well as reliability.

Alter Ego was a little expensive for the amount of pheromones perfume that came in the bottle, so we took off half a price point. Both Alter Ego and Primal Instinct (featured below) got our honor rating; Love Scent is simply the best pheromone shop we've come into contact with.

FIRST PLACE (TIE): Primal Instinct

Primal Instinct is a powerful concoction of feminine scent that can have drastic effects on men and women alike (both good and bad). It tied with Alter Ego simply because we couldn't find any substantial reasons to drop it below or above. Both were amazing, but had a kind of yin/yang relationship. Alter Ego's evil sister would certainly be Primal Instinct. As we mentioned before, this one affects men more in the direction of sex; Alter Ego aligns the wearer more in the direction of being a wispy, white goddess (of sorts). Primal Instinct is also purchased from Love-Scent. 13 of the 14 team members approved of this perfume, but as a disclaimer, it was mixed with a seperate 3rd party perfume so the situation would be more realistic.

Make sure you mix this with a perfume of your choice as it is unscented. We mixed ours with Abercrombie 8, personal favorite of our webmaster. Again, Primal Instinct is found at Love Scent. We've already gone over how awesome their customer service is, so there's no need to mention it twice.

Just like Alter Ego, Primal Instinct got full points in reliability, speed of shipment, and service quality. This should make sense because they're coming from the same place - but we were equally pleased with the service/speed on both.

Primal instinct is stronger than Alter Ego, which, when speaking of longevity and lifetime, is great. You won't need to use as much each time; hence the bottle will last longer. We gave them a full point for price. We had to sacrifice a half point for flex, however, because it can be very difficult to know how much to apply with this perfume. Basically, there is greater risk of overdose (read about this in the Love-Scent forums). It is a learned practice to be able to apply an effective, but not overeffective, amount.

Third Place: Human Euphoria

Coming in at third place, the Human Euphoria female pheromones (not the male ones, they do not work) were, while not amazing, still quite impressive. 9 out of the 14 guys enjoyed the smell to a great extent, and one went crazy over it. The other few said it made them feel a little strange; after three minutes of being near the smell, they got noticably more talkative and social, as well - but not turned on.

The bottles of pheromones Human Euphoria sells are a little overcharged for the amount you're getting. We wouldn't recommend buying only one bottle of Human Euphoria pheromones because the cost per individual bottle is, quite simply, too high. They lost a full point in the price category. If you're going to buy this stuff, you may as well save money and buy a lot. Otherwise, we recommend you simply find something else.

The Human Euphoria pheromones site is clean and well-designed, but one of the interesting things about their store is that they ship wholesale to other "Human Euphoria" mini-stores around the United States, and often, you can find the products for much cheaper. However...we have heard that the products they sell on their site and the ones you might find at other sites are not the same. What's up with that? We feel that this is bad business practice, especially for such a sensitive market as human pheromones perfumes. If our sources of information are true, they would be ripping off their wholesalers, big time. We took away half a point for reliability, as we were unable to extinguish the accusation with any solid evidence.

Nothing about Human Euphoria really stood out, so we kept the flex point at a half. They had a good product at a salvagable price (it wasn't as expensive as some, thankfully, like Athena, below).

Runner-Up: Athena Pheromone 10:13

The last pheromones we reviewed, Athena Pheromone 10:13, were a little disappointing. Oddly enough, this popular product worked the least out of all of the human pheromones perfumes we purchased. Athena pheromones have been around for a while. One would think that these perfumes would pack more punch and hold up to competition, but we were skeptical about whether or not they've even modified their ingredients in the last ten years. We tested the athena pheromones perfume first, and most of us figured that because they've had a lot of media coverage, they would be the best. Only 6 of the 14 boys told us about even a slightly noticable change in mood. All 6 said it made them feel more sexually "ready".

Athena pheromones are unbelievably overpriced. We know for a fact that "Dr. Winnifred Cutler" has made an absolute killing on her products, and every time the Athena Institute issues research to news shows, they get more potential advertising. Because of this, they can keep their prices this high, simply due to the exposure they have. However, there is no reason anyone should have to pay this much for a quality human pheromones perfume product, in our opinion. The pricetag on athena 10:13 pheromones is ludicrous.

The Athena website is cluttered and dirty. They haven't even attempted to update it since around 2000, as you can see at the bottom of each page. The online shopping cart is a mess and we've read reports of it being terrible for security, too - they prefer you call in and order, and while we did this with no problem, it was a little embarassing. Why can't they just buy some stupid shopping cart software plugin for a hundred bucks? It would seem they simply don't care, and they are already making "enough money". Search "pheromones" at Google and you'll see them first simply because their business is so old. Athena Institute's practices make us a little frustrated here at human pheromone reviews - we are for the evolution of new pheromones products that are even better, and healthy competition. Athena currently has a lot of the human pheromones market share, especially with women, but they clearly don't have the best product, or even the best service!

We disliked the Athena pheromone 10:13 (for females) on many respects, but it's hard to deny the fact that they do work, at least a little bit.
